and I am a mama to these two sweet little girls and, most recently, a little boy! Since I was young, I’ve always known I wanted to be a mom because of my deep passion for babies and kids. At the age of 12, I started babysitting as my first job and loved it! My love for kids grew over the years and when I was 19 I decided to spend a year working with young children in Haiti. We spent most days working with the kids in the orphanage and helped with the start up of a women’s program, which was so rewarding. I was a foster mom for 8 years which has given me the blessing of caring for children from all sorts of backgrounds and ages.
My friends affectionately called me the “baby whisperer” long before I had kids of my own. As my friends began having children, they came to me for suggestions on how I could help their little ones form better sleep habits such as falling asleep on their own and staying asleep longer. I was always happy to help, especially because it usually involved getting my baby snuggle fix in, too! Now, having my own littles who are just 11 months apart (yes, you read that right!), I know how immensely important it is that your baby get enough, good sleep and was thankful to have already had tons of tools in my diaper bag that worked like a charm on my own girls. Both girls are really good sleepers and this mama is so thankful, because two under 3 was no joke!
It IS possible for you, too, to have good, well-rested sleepers who enjoy bedtime and are happy to see you in the morning-- all with minimal tears and heartache.
